The second play in MALIBU PLAYHOUSE'S 2013-2014 season will be the West Coast Premiere of Belfry by Billy Roche, opening Friday, January 31, 2014. The play will be directed by Veronica Brady and stars Michael Hyland, Rebekah Tripp and 2010 American Idol contestant Carson Higgins. Tickets are $30, and may be purchased through the box office, online at www.malibuplayhouse.org/belfry, or by calling 323-960-7711. There will be previews on January 29th and 30th for $20. Shows are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 3 PM. According to Deadline, FOX has dropped its upcoming midseason animated series MURDER POLICE from FAMILY GUY's David A. Goodman and Jason Ruiz. The project, which would have been apart of the Sunday night 'Animation Domination' lineup, will be shopped to other networks and continue with its 13-episode season order.

FOX has picked up MURDER POLICE, a new animated comedy that follows a dedicated, but inept detective and his colleagues - some perverted, some corrupt, some just plain lazy - in a twisted city precinct. David A. Goodman (FAMILY GUY) and Jason Ruiz - one of the writers/ animators discovered through the Fox Inkubation program - created the series, which is expected to debut during the 2013-2014 season.
