The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center revealed its 2012/13 10th Anniversary Season schedule which includes performances by local arts groups, signature cultural shows and Broadway hits including War Horse and a return engagement of Disney's The Lion King.

Susan Stockton, president of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center said, "It's hard to believe that it has been 10 years since the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center opened its doors to the people of Northeast Wisconsin." Stockton says that since opening, interest in the Fox Cities P.A.C. has continuously grown. "The community's interest has been key to the Center's success, and our community is committed to our organization's mission, this world-class building and enjoying the performances we have to offer. We are so excited to celebrate 10 years in the spotlight next season!"

The production of the Tony Award®-winning Best Play War Horse (June 25 – 30, 2013) is one of several exciting titles on the Kimberly-Clark Broadway Across America – Fox Cities Series, press notes state. The Center will also welcome Blue Man Group (October 9 – 14, 2012), Elf (November 13 – 18, 2012), Catch Me If You Can (December 18 – 23, 2012), and The Addams Family (February 26 – March 3, 2013). In addition to the five-show Kimberly-Clark Broadway Across America – Fox Cities Season Ticket Package, the 2012/13 Season will launch with a return engagement of Mamma Mia! (August 21 – 26, 2012) and include a month long run of Disney's The Lion King (April 9 – May 5, 2013).

"Next year, the Center's Broadway series will be absolutely stellar," said Maria Van Laanen, executive vice president of the Fox Cities P.A.C. "We have a great mix of shows with some titles we know the Fox Cities loves like Disney's The Lion King and Mamma Mia!, but we also have exciting new Broadway titles with Catch Me If You Can, Blue Man Group, Elf, The Addams Family, and the current Tony Award-winning play War Horse. Fox Cities theatergoers are in for a treat next season."

The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center's 10th Anniversary Season will include several community events featuring other area arts groups. In December, the Makaroff Youth Ballet will create a production of The Nutcracker with help from the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center and the Fox Valley Symphony. In February, the Fox Cities P.A.C. will present Spirited Songs: A Celebration of Choral Music featuring the Appleton Boychoir, Lawrence Academy Girl Choir and White Heron Chorale.

Van Laanen believes the Center's 10th Anniversary Season should be a community celebration. "By drawing together arts organizations from throughout the Fox Cities, we hope that our 10th Anniversary Season becomes a community-wide celebration of the performing arts. The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is a world-class venue drawing performers from around the globe to our corner of the world, but it's also a place to honor what the arts mean to us right here in the Fox Cities."

The Boldt Arts Alive! Series also includes a mix of returning favorites and new titles to celebrate the Fox Cities P.A.C.'s 10th Anniversary Season. Returning highlights include tap dancer Savion Glover with his latest piece SoLe Sanctuary, comedian Bill Cosby and a November performance of The Christmas Music of Mannheim Steamroller by Chip Davis. L.A. Theatre Works' radio-style production of Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" will delight romantics on St. Valentine's Day 2013, and ScrapArtsMusic, the BBC Concert Orchestra under the direction of Keith Lockhart and a cabaret performance by the Freddy Cole Quartet are just a few of the new titles that make up the Center's cultural performance series.

The 2012/13 Season was announced tonight during a live preview event for Season Ticket Holders, donors and other special guests. For a full list of upcoming performances and more information, visit foxcitiespac.com.
